BCH Transfer fees

Recently, when I was trying to send BCH from one wallet to another wallet, I found that there was 19 cents fees for $1 worth of BCH transfer. Is this the normal charge or is the wallet asking for additional fees?

I don't think that's the normal fee. It could get so high during congested periods. You could wait for a time that the network might not be too congested.

I suppose there could have been a spike in transactions due to the BCH halving that happened recently, or was it a problem with the wallet in question, what wallet were you using at that time?
