If that is the decision, only you can make it based on your own values and priorities. While financial security is important to many people, it's not the only factor to consider in choosing a life partner. Consider what truly matters most to you in a relationship and whether a potential partner shares those values, regardless of their financial situation. A strong relationship is built on much more than money.

In short, money doesn’t guarantee a thriving marriage, but its absence or mismanagement can significantly increase the challenges a couple faces. A successful marriage requires a strong foundation built on mutual respect, trust, communication, and shared values, with financial planning and management as an important, but not defining, component.

It is all up to you to decide.

I won't really advise anyone to go into marriage when there is no money, you don't have to be rich, but you should be able to handle the basic things without any issue and be able to live a comfortable life.

Wiw, mate, it seems you are that tough guy. Indeed, you don't have to be rich to achieve your dreams for someone you cherish to be with for life; what matters is, there is money for the essential needs, and good things follow in the coming years when there is the right love and the right person.

Exactly that's what most people don't understand. The most important thing, treat them with love and respect and have enough to give them a comfortable life. If along the line you become rich then even better but even when rich don't expect your money alone will make them happy. The amount of love and attention you show them also matters.

You are now ready to fight for love, but for , me, I will never marry someone without money or a stable job. I had a bf before, and he has no money. It was me who kept giving him free meals and snacks, so after one year, I told him to find a job. He resigned as a manager of McDonald's, dunno the reason. He still didn't find a job, so I told him to go our separate ways.

There is notting wrong with the decision you made here. One person shouldn't be a liability but both partners should be able to help and assist one another.

Money is an essential part of any relationship, especially in marriage. It's important to consider how you will raise your children in the future. Ideally, before getting married, you should be financially stable or choose a partner who is responsible, hardworking, and has other similar qualities. Even if he isn't wealthy, a partner with the said qualities will find ways to support the family.

I was fed up with him, and I cannot believe that I had a leech bf. I was thankful for the courage that I finally made our relationship to end.

From your description i think it's safe to say he was too comfortable with taking care of him, and was not willing to put in any efforts.

Yeah, my ex Rhondee was a graduate from the University of the Philippines ( UP) and the only son. Maybe he was pampered by his mom.

Emphasizes the importance of financial stability and responsibility in a marriage, suggesting that while love is essential, it cannot fully provide for a family's basic needs like rent or food.
We cannot say one spouse should have money but me i believe in building from scratch together,do all sorts of business together and grow our wealths together while we dont forget marriage vows we made

@Bigshow , that's sweet and cool. Indeed, you got the point. The couple can work together to uplift their finances, and together, the two people in love can change the picture of their finances.
