From Legazpi City, Philippines’ report, Anti-drug operatives in Bicol seized PHP1.3 million worth of suspected illegal drugs during a buy-bust operation in Libon, Albay on Friday.
According to Police Regional Office-5 Director Brig. Gen. Andre Dizon, a suspect known as "Ben," 37, was apprehended after selling a sachet of suspected shabu to an undercover buyer.
With this, a further search led to the recovery of 200 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated street value of PHP1,360,000.
In addition to the report, the operation was conducted by the Libon Municipal Police Station, the Provincial Intelligence Unit of the Albay Police Provincial Office, and the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 5.
A criminal case for violation of Republic Act No. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002), is being prepared for filing against the suspect.
