Biden arranges $725 million of aid package for Ukraine

Before leaving the White House, President Joe Biden will put together a $725 million aid package for Ukraine to help President Zelenskyy in the ongoing confrontation with Russia. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan said that President Biden has authorized the aid package, which includes considerable amounts of air defense systems and other military equipment. The President has directed the Department of Defense to immediately deploy these supplies to Ukraine in order to ensure that the country has the resources it needs to defend itself against Russian forces. Additionally, Secretary of State Antony Blinken claimed that anti-personnel mines would be deployed to Ukraine between December and mid-January.
