According to the report, a ballistic missile launched from Yemen on May 12, apparently aimed at Israel, fell short in Saudi Arabia or off its coast, according to a report by The Times of Israel. The Israeli military identified the launch, but no sirens sounded in Israel because the missile did not pose a threat, the report said. This came a day after Israel is said to have once again attacked Yemen’s port city of Hodeidah, reportedly controlled by the Iran-backed Yemeni rebels.
The reported strikes came after the Israeli army, on May 11, warned residents of three ports - Ras Isa, Hodeidah, and Salif - ‘used’ by the Houthis to evacuate. The warning came after the Houthis allegedly fired several ballistic missiles and drones at Israel in recent days. The attacks from Yemen were, as per the rebels, in retaliation for Israeli strikes on Houthi-controlled airport in Sanaa and several other facilities last week. Meanwhile, Houthis have denied any Israeli attacks on Yemeni ports, according to Reuters news agency. Hamas, an ally of Houthis and part of Iran’s ‘axis of resistance’, has also denied that any attack occurred on Yemeni ports.
It is a disaster if there are casualties in Saudi Arabia because of the missile that detoured to Saudi Arabia and not to Israel. God bless Israel for shifting the missile to another country.
