According to the report, Israel's feared Mossad spy agency is plotting to kill Iran's IRGC Air Force Chief. US President Donald Trump repeatedly has threatened to unleash airstrikes targeting Iran’s nuclear program if a deal is not reached. Iranian officials increasingly warn that they could pursue a nuclear weapon with their stockpile of uranium enriched to near weapons-grade levels.
But Israel fears another scenario. Tel Aviv does not want Trump to give Iran any substantive concessions. But what if the US President inks a deal with Iran, which is seen as weak by Israel? Israel may have an answer: an attack on the IRGC Air Force Chief. An attack on the IRGC Air Force Chief would provoke another attack on Israel, which could then be used to justify strikes on Iran's nuclear sites.
If only Khamenei accepted the agreement deal of President Trump, its nuke wouldn't be the target of interest.
