Just as you're reading it, BlackRock holders wiped out BTC in an absolute way and this is no surprise to anyone. If you know what BlackRock is, you know perfectly well that this is not surprising at all, but I asked anyway: were you surprised to learn about this?

This is not really surprising considering BlackRock’s position in the financial markets. On October 3, 2025, BlackRock reported a daily inflow of $466.5 million into Bitcoin through its IBIT ETF. This shows that they are actively participating in the crypto market, and large price changes can occur quickly due to their actions.

For the same week, there was a rapid cycle of inflows: one day there was an increase of $619 million, then the next day there was a decrease of $120 million. This shows how volatile the market can be due to the decisions of large institutions like BlackRock. Therefore, for someone who follows the dynamics of these institutions, it is not surprising to see BTC shaken by force.

But for ordinary investors, it may come as a big surprise. This is a sign of how crypto has officially entered the financial strategies of institutions, and how digital transformation is affecting global markets.
