The body of a newborn baby was found in a gutter at Ekpo Abasi junction by Umo Edem Street, Calabar South Local Government Area of Cross River State.


The baby was found wrapped in its placenta and placed in a black leather bag. A passerby discovered the gruesome scene on Monday morning, September 2, 2024, and raised an alarm. The baby was still in a pool of blood, and it was clear that it had been thrown away like trash,

Yes, it is a horrific act, unbelievable for a mom to kill her child, especially her newborn. She better had aborted the fetus. It is insanity.
