A little eight-year-old boy was left 'screaming in agony' after being tear-gassed by French police when his family got caught up in a pro-Palestine protest in Paris.
According to the report, Lawrence's mother Radia Austin, 46, questioned if the city is a safe place to host the Olympics after he was left with acute eye problems. She said the schoolboy was left screaming in agony after police 'blindly' threw tear gas canisters into the crowd of protesters.
The report said that Radia, Lawrence, and father Paul, 45, were returning to their apartment nearby when one of the canisters landed at his feet. She said that despite approaching the police for help they were simply told to 'wash his eyes'.
According to the report, two weeks on, she says Lawrence is still struggling with throbbing pain is his eyes and is booked in to see a specialist.
