I am so sure that businesses are now feasting. Businesses often see a significant boost during the festive season. The holidays season typically brings increased consumer spending as people purchase gifts, decorations, food, and travel expenses. Retailers, in particular, gear up for this period, offering special promti0pns and discounts to attract customers.

Also, restaurants and entertainment venues also benefit from holiday gatherings and celebrations. The surge in demand can lead to higher revenues and profits for many businesses.

However, it is also a time of intense competition, requiring businesses to effectively manage their inventory, marketing, and customer service to capitalize on this opportunity. Moreover, smaller businesses need to be creative to compete with larger corporations.

I completely agree with your point about the festive season being a time when businesses thrive, but I think it’s also important to highlight the challenges that come with this surge. While retailers and restaurants enjoy higher demand, the sudden increase in customer expectations can expose weaknesses in supply chains and service quality. Larger corporations often have the resources to absorb these pressures, but for smaller businesses, the holiday rush can be a double-edged sword. They must balance creativity with efficiency, finding ways to stand out through personalized service, unique products, or community-driven promotions.
Another aspect worth noting is the shift toward online shopping during the holidays. E-commerce platforms have become central to consumer spending, meaning businesses that fail to adapt digitally may miss out on significant opportunities. In the end, the festive season is both a blessing and a test: it rewards preparation and innovation, but punishes complacency.

So many kinds of business have so much demands that they have no option than to work overnight all through this period.

After the new year, businesses will become dull, with very few customers coming in. Almost all people look tired and haggard from the festivities. Business owners are also overwhelmed with their sales and profits.

People here are busy going in and out to their favorite malls and stores. And even the sidewalk vendors are busy selling. They also have many customers buying local toys for their kids, which are affordable.
