Can a financially wealthy person be friends with a financially average person without frictions?

When there is a gulf in gap financially between two friends and they are friends, it is possible that the friendship can thrive?

I personally think the friendship between two people where one is rich and the other poor, the friendship would most likely be strained.

What do you think about friendships between people at extreme of financial level?

I don't think it would be about the financial status but more about their personality. If they have good character they will he no friction
