Can drone cameras pick and record audio?

So we had an event and we had to use a drone to capture the happenings in the event. Everyone was waiting to see the footage of the event.

When the drone guy produced the footage, there was no audio. We were all amazed and threatened not to pay him. He was trying to explain and he said that drone cameras don't produce Audios.

How true is that? Is it possible for drone cameras to produce audios?

Yes that's true, most drones are not equipped with mics, so sounds cannot be recorded. Though I heard there are some drones that comes with mics.
