A mentor is one who puts you through and acts as a sort of guide, especially as a beginner in a particular filed or sector, a mentor is a teacher. Do you think a business owner can actually run a business without the help of a mentor?

A mentor can be an incredible asset for anyone starting or running a business because they provide guidance, perspective, and lessons learned from their own experience. Having someone to lean on, especially in the early stages, can help you avoid common mistakes, make better decisions, and grow faster. A mentor often acts as a sounding board, offering advice not just on strategy but also on mindset, resilience, and leadership. For beginners, that kind of support can feel almost essential.
That said, it is possible to run a business without a mentor. Many entrepreneurs have built successful ventures by relying on self-education, trial and error, and sheer determination. With the wealth of resources available today books, online courses, podcasts, communities, and even AI tools business owners have more opportunities than ever to learn and adapt on their own. The challenge, however, is that this path often takes longer and involves more mistakes along the way.

If the entrepreneur or owner of a business is self motivated, s(he) can learn from a lot of resources out there. It is nice to have a mentor, but I believe that if the owner is smart and hard working, s(he) can run a business without a mentor.

True, but don't you think a mentor would be able to give the entrepreneur practical and straight to the point lessons and experience?
