There are people that are very good with marketing. But they don't really know how to make sales. They can promote a product to someone and make someone want to buy but don't know how to seal the sales effectively.

Have you seen such kinds of persons? What do you think they can do to translate their marketing skills to seal sales too?

Yes it is very possible for a person to be good with marketing but not good with sales. This is because while both compliments each other, it requires different skills to function.

There are people that are actually good with creating awareness and convincing a customer but can't close the deal.

I am a core sales person. I can market and sale any product to any tough customer. One thing you must understand is the fact that one customer differs from another. There are customers that would just buy an expensive product easily because they have the money or because they need the product, there are customers that will stress the hell out of you before buying. The goal is to push through that sales after marketing the product, that is another skill on its own that is rare. You must try to complete sales even when the buyer is tough.
