Can you stay hungry for the reason of making some savings?

During the time when l was working in company, l saw so many people going without lunch in the name of making savings. What is your take?

Yes i can, i have even done this several times before now. Its a small sacrifice we have to make to get what we want.

I don't agree to that. If we stay hungry we can't work hard to earn.

It is a crazy principle, where we save money but don't eat lunch, what if we get sick, won't it cost more money for treatment than just lunch.

When I reached a really difficult point in my life, I had to be smart about my money. There were times when I didn't buy enough food so I could save what little I had and get through each day. I'm grateful for the lessons I learned during that challenging time, and I really hope I never have to go through something like that again.
