Car Enters Mumbai-Nagpur Expressway From Wrong Side, 6 Dead In Horrific Crash

Last night, at least six persons perished and four injured in a horrific collision between two cars on the Mumbai-Nagpur Expressway, or Samruddhi Mahamarg, near the Kadwanchi hamlet on Samruddhi Highway in Jalna district, about 400 kilometers from Mumbai. The accident occurred about 11 p.m. when a Swift Dzire entered the highway from the wrong side after refueling and collided with an Ertiga heading to Mumbai from Nagpur. The impact was so powerful that the Ertiga was flung into the air and landed on the highway's barricade, sending occupants tumbling out of the vehicle and onto the road. The other automobile was a twisted pile of metal.

Wow, that was so horrible. The driver might be drunk or asleep while driving. I hope it will not happen again. May they rest in peace and may the bereaved family be consoled.

All these unfortunate incidents happen every now and then. I don't know if there are measures to that can be taken to avert them.

It's either the driver was drunk, extremely tired or probably distracted with something else. It's well though.
