I have noticed that chats are getting deleted automatically on Whatsapp. If you wish to save a chat, what method do you use , do you save the chat manually or use a software to take a backup of the chat, photos, videos?

I think that there is a feature on WhatsApp that allows for a chat to be automatically deleted after a specific timeframe set by either party of the chat.
I think many people are using the delete feature, I would like to find out if most people are taking a backup of the chat, video, especially if it may be required in the future for reference.
I think WhatsApp allows people to set periodic backups for their chats. You might set your own to daily backups for chats that you think are important to yu and are on auto delete.
