A Colorado Sheriff’s deputy found himself playing “chicken herder” after a flock of chickens were reported roaming the neighborhood.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said on social media that the deputy responded to a 911 call about the escaped chickens and began rounding them up. He eventually loaded them into the back of his patrol car while waiting for animal control officers to arrive.
The Sheriff’s Office said the incident is a reminder that deputies deal with everything — from major emergencies to bizarre farm animal incidents.
