As part of the government's first statewide subsidy to increase birth rates, Chinese parents are being handed 3,600 yuan (£375; $500) annually for each child under the age of three. Even after the ruling Communist Party ended its controversial one-child policy about ten years ago, the birth rate in the nation has been declining.

I thought this issue has been sorted out, It is well though i hope this would help motivate more couples to give birth to more children.

China is over a billion and still planning to increase the population is absurd. Though China have advanced in agricultural production and can afford to feed double of their population comfortably. I think with these initiative, the population will jump to two million people before 10 years from now.

China at a point regulated birth. Now they are encouraging people to give birth. Do they actually know what they want?

The one-child policy in China made their population declined. There are more or less one million Chinese die every year, but there are also one million births every year. Perhaps, no more young Chinese to marry at a young age.
