As India-Bangladesh relations remain on thin ice, Beijing is actively engaging with Dhaka. Recently, Chinese Ambassador to Dhaka, Yao Wen, met with interim government leader Muhammad Yunus and the chief of Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh (JIB), a radical Islamist group that was accused of war crimes in 2010.

Notably, this is the first time in 14 years that any foreign official has visited the JIB office. The development comes as Bangladesh undergoes major political changes, with Sheikh Hasina’s government recently ousted and an interim government led by Yunus now in place. Meanwhile, India continues to host Hasina, who faces 89 criminal cases, amid growing calls for her extradition back to Bangladesh.

Just this Monday, the Indian High Commissioner met with Bangladesh’s interim Home Minister to discuss the safety of Indian nationals and the ongoing flood situation.

China is a communist country. They are following their ideologies. Even in my country despite building friendships and having millions of their people living in the Philippines, they are still hostile to the Filipinos.

It might be a scary situation in the sub continent. There is a bigger fear of Islamic fundamentalists coming in full power. That's never a good sign for any country. Bangladesh might go down as Afghanistan it things continue this way. Anyways, China is known to help countries out of its selfish reasons. It would just make them in debts and then leverage it to their advantage. It has done it with Pakistan and Sri Lanka turning them into beggars. Bangladesh has to wake up to the call or else face the ill fate. Well, it's all speculations and only time will tell. Geopolitical situations are quick to change and one can't say anything with too much of surety.

India does not depend on Bangladesh for its development rather its the other way round and China has always been mischief monger.

That's the habit of China war like and always not doing something beneficial but mostly harm. They are enemies in my country.

They are enemies to most countries.
Yes, they are. There are many Chinese here in the Philippines doing illegal activities and many were jailed and repatriated.

Here, there are less Chinese. What illegal activities they do in your country?

They are trafficking drugs. They are also doing an illegal recruitment. They are doing monkey business in the Philippines.

Are they not caught by the police and punished?
They were caught and televised nationwide. They were repatriated to their country. Others were shot to death because of resistance.
