Certain regions of Palawan and Occidental Mindoro will be affected by debris from a Chinese rocket launch, as reported by the Philippine Space Agency (PhilSA). On Tuesday, China launched its Long March 7 rocket. The debris was intended to land in specific drop zones, which are approximately 33 nautical miles from Bajo de Masinloc, 118 nautical miles from Busuanga, Palawan, 51 nautical miles from Recto Bank, and 88 nautical miles from Cabra Island in Occidental Mindoro, based on PhilSA’s data. Following the Chinese government’s Notice to Airmen warning of “aerospace flight activity” in the area prior to the rocket launch, PhilSA promptly notified the relevant Philippine government agencies of the potential threat posed by the Chinese rocket launch.
