Christian Methodist Senior High School students in Ghana attacked teachers for refusing to allow cheating during exams

Students at Christian Methodist Senior High School (Chrimeto) in Ghana have attacked teachers for refusing to allow cheating during the ongoing West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).


This began when angered students, frustrated by the strict enforcement of exam regulations, started hurling stones at the teachers.

A teacher, Adanunyo, described the frightening experience, recounting how he and the Head of Department were warned by a student about a potential attack if they continued with their strict supervision.

We have instituted corrupt acts like exams malpractices to be the new norm in our society. We need a complete overhaul of the system now.

That is weird students want to cheat during the exam. Students this time are badly exploited by technology. They make technology ugly. They want to cheat using the chatbots during the exam. They have to be penalized or expelled.

Cheating is a crime at the university where I teach Physics. Whoever is caught cheating during the major exams will be automatically expelled by the university administration.

This is too much. In India too most schools and colleges resort to malpractice. This is the reason for deterioration of skills in work place.

In some schools that I have worked in around Africa, if you refuse to cheat as a student, the teachers would force you and make you join the cheating.

The cheating cases in examination is currently increasingly in popularity in the whole world. That is mostly caused by the ranking of students and neglecting the failures.

That's a funny thing. How could cheating be tolerated. Why don't they study or listen to teacher's lecture. They will graduate half baked.

What baffles me is that the name of the school has Christian in it. Does exam malpractice align with Christian teachings?

Such misconduct by a child on high school. Some children are not just trained properly at all.

The school is the second home of the kids, but it seems they are more dominant than the teachers. It is better to apply the corporal punishment if only permitted to impose strict discipline.
