Chronic kidney disease causes heart problems

Scientists have discovered the reason why patients with chronic kidney disease often die from heart problems. The damaged kidneys release small particles into the blood that act as poisons to the heart.

These particles, produced only by diseased kidneys, carry genetic material and disrupt heart function. Eventually, they can lead to heart failure, demonstrating a direct link between kidney health and heart risk.
