Cincinnati mother accused of burning her young son

According to the report, a Westwood mother is accused of burning her baby boy. Felicity Ford, 20, faces a child endangering charge.

The report said police believe she burned her son with a lighter on February 18, when he was 11 months old, and did not immediately get him medical care.The boy was eventually brought to Cincinnati Children's Hospital, where doctors indicated they believed he had been abused.

The report added that Ford admitted the burns were noticed on her son after they'd been alone together, according to court papers. He didn't have them before. She also admitted she was carrying a lighter on her at the time and could not explain how her son had been burned.

Court papers do not say how long it was before the boy received medical treatment.
