Coinbase Launches Base App

According to a tweet from the @baseapp account on social media platform X, the Coinbase wallet is currently evolving into BaseApp, a multi-purpose app. BASEApp users can not only store, receive, send, and trade crypto but also message (like social media), play games, interact with AI, and create digital content.

According to Blog.base.org, Base App is built on four main foundations: an on-chain app, an open social network, an encrypted messaging system, and wallet integration and trading features. BasePay is one of the features that attracts users. It is a USDC-based payment system that utilizes NFC technology, similar to the Tap to Pay feature on conventional payment platforms.
