College student found dead inside church

The student, identified by authorities as a resident of Barangay Guiso, Calinog, Iloilo, who took Business Administration at the Passi City College, was found inside the church past 7:30 a.m.

The report said that the parish caretaker heard a gunshot while cleaning outside the church and immediately went to check. The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital but was declared dead on arrival.

Police investigators recovered a note in which the student apologized to his family and provided the PIN codes of his two mobile phones.

Family members, who are based in Metro Manila, confirmed to authorities that personal problems may have pushed the victim to end his life.

The police investigation is still ongoing as to the cause of the victim’s ending his life.
