A college student in Balasore FM college Odisha set fire on herself after her department HOD asked for sexual favours and mentally tortured her when she didn't agree to his proposals. The young girl died today at Bhubaneswar AIIMS hospital. This is becoming prevalent in all the educational institutes in India. It's high time the parents form a forum that would punish such teachers. The HOD and Principal of the college have been arrested. Tge students of Odisha are seeking death sentence for the accused.

I have had similar experience in college. A lecturer told me I won't ever pass his course if I don't sleep with him. I already failed the course twice. How I escaped was just mysterious.

I still doubt if she set herself on fire, as it's very painful. I think someone has set her on fire.

@aninditasen my daughter is still in school in 12th standard and I am worried how will she go to the college or will stay in the hostel alone. She is naive and such girls are very vulnerable and are easy prey for boys.
