Comparing Whatsapp with other messenger apps

Most of the people here are using Whatsapp for chatting and making phone calls. How does Whatsapp compare with other messenger apps like Telegram, Viber , what are the advantages and disadvantages?

It is true that WhatsApp has become like the parent of messenger apps because its simplicity and speed are very attractive. It is a saying that they are rewarded for playing. Telegram is also well-organized for versatility and developers love it because they can add scripts and new features. WhatsApp remains strong on the security and encryption side so hacking is very difficult. Telegram offers flexibility but WhatsApp wins with a large user base and the trust of many people.
