Reviewing the events that happened in the crypto world during 2024 that we should not miss and crypto users should be more careful in storing their crypto. Several well-known crypto exchanges have been hacked resulting in huge losses of money, such as:

1. DMM Bitcoin (bitcoin.dmm.com) In May 2024, DMM Bitcoin, a Tokyo-based crypto exchange, was hacked resulting in a loss of $310 million in crypto.

2. BtcTurk, a Turkey-based crypto exchange, was also hacked in June 2024 resulting in a loss of $60 million in crypto.

3. WazirX, an India-based crypto exchange acquired by Binance, was hacked in July 2024 resulting in a loss of $240 million.

4. BingX is a global crypto exchange based in Singapore, in September 2024 it was also hacked resulting in a loss of $43 million.

5. Indodax is a well-known local crypto exchange based in Jakarta Indonesia, in September it was hacked resulting in a loss of $23 million.

Crypto exchanges should be very secure about their activities because funds of users would be lost with all these hacks, making crypto world discouraging for people to enter.

Even if a crypto exchange has been hacked, and many users' cryptos are lost, sooner or later it will be replaced by the crypto exchange, because most exchanges have insurance, so users don't have to worry about losing their crypto.
