Most big companies and multinationals have a CSR program in which they donate money to NGOs and sometimes help the underprivileged financially. They don't do this good work without any gains. They get lot of tax benefits. They show these as non profitable investments which sometimes is not, especially when they invest in Educational institutions and some NGOs also. A clever way to evade taxes.
