According to the report, a Syracuse man is charged with murder after his girlfriend, who was from Rochester, and his 11-year-old son were shot and killed Monday. Yeraldith Tschudy, 32, of Rochester, and Jeremiah Huff, 11, were found shot to death at a home on Roney Road in Syracuse.
The suspect, David Huff, 43, is charged with first- and second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon for using a shotgun to kill them, according to a criminal complaint. "There were multiple shots to both victims," said Onondaga County District Attorney William Fitzpatrick. "It's difficult to make a facial identification as a result of the carnage perpetrated by the alleged gunman."
After a 16-hour manhunt across Onondaga County, New York State Police located and took Huff into custody. It was learned that they were in a new relationship. It was not disclosed as to the reason why the suspect killed the mother and son.
