According to the report, the latest American electronic reconnaissance aircraft, the Bombardier ARTEMIS II, has appeared over the Black Sea. Its long-range reconnaissance capabilities allow it to monitor Russian military installations both in the Rostov region and in the occupied territories of Ukraine.
The report stated that the ARTEMIS II is a modified Challenger 650 business jet, reconfigured for long-range electronic intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance missions. The aircraft is capable of operating at high altitudes and collecting data with a range of up to 600 kilometers. It is not ruled out that the US ARTEMIS II aircraft may have provided coordinates to the Ukrainian military.
The report added that its tasks include recording the activity of radar stations, communications equipment, and other electronic systems, which allows it to obtain strategic information about the military activities of the Russian army. In particular, it can monitor radars and communication stations located in the Rostov region of the Russian Federation and in the occupied part of the Donetsk region.
Additionally, in September 2025, ARTEMIS II also conducted a mission over the Black Sea. Furthermore, in early November, an American Boeing RC-135U reconnaissance aircraft was spotted over the Black Sea. It's worth noting that the reappearance of reconnaissance aircraft over the Black Sea coincided with an intensification of Russian attacks on port infrastructure in the Odesa region. Specifically, a Turkish commercial vessel was hit. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has drawn the international community's attention to the fact that the actions of the aggressor country's army pose a threat to the Black Sea food corridor.
