Did you receive compensation at work for working overtime?

No I was never paid for overtime. Here in my present company we have to stay at least an hour as an overtime but are not paid.
I believe that this is very irresponsible on the part of the management and the employees should not tolerate it either. I understand that it is difficult to find a job, but you need to talk to your boss

Here in India because of the high population jobs are less so we have to tolerate such things otherwise we have to pay the price for it.
That's how I understand it, because I also have very little to do in my country, and people have to do everything in order not to be fired, because there are a lot of candidates, but I think you can try to talk calmly with the manager and maybe this hour will be reduced to half an hour?

I don't think most of the people from the developing countries get paid for the extra hours they work because the situation is more or less same in these countries. May be US and UK people are rigid and don't tolerate such things
