Directories, do they still work

In the past web directories and article directories were very popular platforms to build backlinks. You could join a web directory and submit your link or join article directory, publish an article and then share your links with the article. However, later search engines started making changes in their algorithm and stopped valuing any backlinks coming from a site that gives a lot of backlinks (they were considered link farms)

I have not tried this, and I also agree with you that there are changes not only that but also in the acquisition pf a Google Adsense.

Yes, they still work. They’re a good source of backlinks, especially if they allow you to write a description and upload an image.

For every directory you add your site to, include a unique description. That way you can take advantage of each directory and get more visitors.

They still hold value in 2024.

I used to utilize those techniques in the past, and they were quite successful in increasing traffic. However, with the passage of time, I am uncertain whether they continue to be effective today, as circumstances have changed or evolved. Hehe

Directories still work but not a lot of people make use of them these days.
