Customers are different in personalities, buying patterns and other variables. A business person might be tempted to prefer one or few customers over the other.
Is it wrong for businesses to have favourite customers?
For me, my favourite customers are those customers that are trustworthy and loyal. I give them concession occasionally. I think every business has these sets of customers.
I think there business owners who play favouritism or special attention to customers but the customers they entertained well are constant buyers, bulk buyers.
Forming positive connections or playing favoritism with loyal customers who consistently support your product or service is natural. However, it is essential to ensure that all customers, regardless of purchase frequency, acquire excellent products or services and high customer satisfaction.
