Some businesses call customers to check on them. They try to show care to the customer. They even send birthday messages to customers. In all of these, is it all about patronage and customer retention or they genuinely cater about the customer beyond transactions?

I don’t think it’s black and white. A lot of those birthday texts and follow-up calls are automated or part of a marketing strategy. But there are small business owners who really know their customers and treat them almost like family. For them, it goes beyond money.

I truly care about my customers' health. I deal on health-based product, sometimes, I go out of my way to pay visits to my customers and even release product to them to pay later. Money is not everything you know but love and attention is more than enough.

Yes, many businesses strive to build relationships with customers that extend beyond mere transactions. While profit is a primary driver, businesses increasingly recognize that prioritizing customer satisfaction and loyalty is essential for long-term success
