I had worked for people for so many years before I started my business. I learned do many things along the way. But does it mean that someone can't just leap into entrepreneurship and succeed with it?

Must a person be an employee for some time first to succeed in entrepreneurship?

There is no law that says you have to work for someone or under someone before you can succeed in your business. There are cases where you can learn under someone and still experience challenges or even fail. While it is not a must to do so, working under someone gives you an extra advantage.

While having experience working for someone before starting a business can be beneficial, it is not strictly necessary. Many successful business owners or entrepreneurs have started businesses without a traditional 9-to-5 job.

Working under someone before starting your business means gaining experience, and a lot of people today fail to realize the importance of experience.

Not all types of businesses do not have to work for other people first, so it depends on the level of difficulty of the business or the business that requires skills, If you are only going to run a franchise business, a small grocery store does not need to work for other people, but you need experience when you are going to run an electronic repair service business, lawyer etc.
