Do not ignore small expenditures

Small expenditures may seem insignificant, but when you add them up, you might be surprised to see how much they have cost you over time. I've been there myself, thinking that they were inconsequential since they were affordable. However, I eventually regretted some of them because they didn't serve any real purpose. Therefore, it's wise to examine your spending habits and identify where you can cut back. Doing so will provide you with more money to allocate towards your savings.

That's how I would keep on buying pack of candies every day because it is just 10 cents. But when I sit down to check how much I have spent on inconsequential candies, I realise that I just leaked over $3 away.

LOL I have had similar experiences due to the amount being small you might feel you are not spending anything but before you know it, you have spent what would even last you a month.

Many people ignore small expenses that are incurred repeatedly, such as visiting cafes more than 3 times a day, money transfer fees, etc. or what we know as the latte factor. However, if we add up at the end of the month, the amount is often fantastic, or exceeds basic expenses. So if you want to implement frugal living everything has to be planned and reduce small expenses.
