Do we still need atm cards these days?

With mobile banking and tap to pay everywhere, I’m starting to wonder if ATM cards are even necessary anymore. Do you still carry yours around, or is it just collecting dust in your wallet?

Though most people often prefer online transfers, but there are times where you might definitely need ATM card to do one or two things.

We still need cash, as digital transactions are not possible every where. I have an ATM card and sometimes I withdraw cash

It has been a very long time that I used an ATM card. It is gradually becoming useless these days.

I think we still use cash sometimes. So ATM is needed.

I don't think any of these payment options will ever die out. There are more options these days which can accommodate different peoples' styles, but debit cards will never replace cash.

How long did it take to phase out the penny?

When you require cash then you have to withdraw money through the ATM so the card is required.

I always carry an ATM card in my wallet, especially as a backup in case my mobile phone runs out of data.

I am using just a virtual ATM card. I don't have a physical ATM card because I don't think I need one.

People don't need ATM cards that much these days. But I still need it to fund my PayPal wallet. Not for everyday transactions though.
