For me l rarely accept people that l never know on the social media sites. Due to security reasons l couldn't accept that at all costs.

There are some persons I have met on social media who end up becoming very good friends to me. For most of them I like their profile picture so I just sent a friend request and from there started chatting with them.
I have many friends on social media that I don't know physically. Though, i classified those friends as social media friends and i limit our discussions on trivial issues.
Yes, I'm like that too, social media is a work tool for me and only closed to my family and friends.

I do not make friends with people whom I do not personally know. I want to protect my privacy. Also, I take safety seriously. There might use my information for not-so-good things.
I have never accepted anyone as a friend because for some reason they most often offer me some financial services and not just to be friends, so now I do not accept such requests
