In some countries, shares, bonds, debentures are held in a demat account for convenience and better tracking. Do you have a demat account for the securities which you have purchased? Is it possible to tamper with demat account details?
In my country, a demat account has the name of Customer Fund Account, every digital investor needs to have it in their own name. This customer fund account is issued by a securities company to facilitate the buying and selling of investment products such as stocks, bonds, mutual funds, stable earn etc. A demat account also functions as a wallet for securities buying and selling transactions.
