These websites are fantastic when they first go live because they aim to draw in new users, but I don't really like using them because they don't always offer favorable conditions over the long term. These days, I occasionally use the obscure Bitget exchange.

Well, completely unknown exchanges can, but I meant less well-known but reliable ones that definitely guarantee the safety of your funds. For example, the Bitget exchange is not a popular exchange and few people use it due to the fact that the conditions there are much worse than on others

For small crypto transactions, I always make use of exchanges that are not too popular. But I use Binance for big transactions.

I only use Binance, bybit and bitget. I don't use any other exchange. Since Nigeria government have problem with Binance, i switched to Bybit and Bitget.

For me the most important thing is that they are legit and they get the job done, though i prefer making use of known ones cause it's easier to determine if they are legit or not.

They just start the business so options are limited that is normal.
