Every country has labour regulations which among it's core provisions specifies the amount that workers are supposed to pay at the minimum by organisations they work in. It is called minimum wage.

Some businesses due to their small size can't afford to pay the minimum wage to their staff though. In my country, the minimum wage is about $28 per month. But I can't afford to pay that. I pay my two staff an equivalent of $20.

What is the minimum wage in your country? Can your business afford to pay minimum wage?

I am not sure, but I think the minimum wage here in India is $200 per month, which seems to be less for a person to feed his family. Yes, in most organizations, people don't break the labor laws and give minimum wages to their workers, whereas in small-scale industries, they don't pay the minimum wage. Actually, due to overpopulation in India, there is lots of unemployment, so people here are easily available to work, even for lower salaries.

The minimum wage here for a government worker in the labor sector is $ 10 per day and for the office sector $ 25 per day . For the private sector, the minimum wage depends on the position and qualification of the worker.

There is always a minimum wage in a country. In private sector too, in your country there must be a minimum wage

When poverty and unemployment is prevalent, it is always very difficult to implement minimum wage regulations. In a country like the United States, paying the minimum wage is mandatory.

I already mentioned the minimum wage but in the academe there is basic salary and extra pay for extra loads paid hourly and the pay depends on the educational qualification of the teacher.

I do not hire anyone and at present I am making less than minimum wage at present because of the slavery racket of top tech, internet companies, government agencies. They are robbing the data of online workers, investors to make fake claims about government employees who do not do computer work , do not pay expenses, yet make fake claims using the robbed data and get monthly government salaries since 2010.

Professors are paid as per hour here also. Educational qualifications matters everywhere. You promotion and designation is decided as per your qualification.

Minimum wage in my country is 670 euros. It is not much and if you want live in bigger city you will pay 400 euros for room and with 200 euros you can't survive month.

That's the problem with the people living in the big cities but not having enough salary.
