Do you prefer ads or affiliates?

There are several ways to monetize your website, but some people prefer ads to monetize, and others prefer to monetize through affiliates. My question is, which do you prefer? Monetize with ads? Or monetize with affiliates? If you can, explain why you prefer one over the other.

I am more into using network ads as I can earn both form impression and clicks. With affiliate ads, you need sales.

I don't have a site yet but if i had to choose i think i will go with ads, cause i pretty much suck at selling which is what i need with affiliate.

I prefer affiliate system, especially ones with recurring commissions. They pay more than advertising companies and are more beneficial than ads.
