Do you take a backup of your smartphone

Do forum members take a backup of their smartphone regularly? If yes, which tool or software is used for taking the backup?

I only backup the contacts in my smartphone to my Google account. And maybe some very important files too. I don't know how to backup the entire smartphone.

I don't backup my whole smartphone, just my contacts, and my messages on Whatsapp, and a few apps i use a lot.

I only backup important files, such as photos, on Google drive and Dropbox. I do not do it often, though.
