Do you think giveaways is still viable as a customer attraction method?

I can remember that in the past, most customers were being lured by small giveaways offered to them by entrepreneurs for patronage. Does this method still worthy of in your area?

Giveaways should just be a form of promotion for your business and not a way to get customers for your business.

Give away gives me lots of customers as they oftentimes, they become fascinated by the gift and introduces the product as way of paying back the love I'd shown. I noticed I also gain referrals and patronage from the people I'd gifted my products. To me, giveaway is not just a means of advertising but also a means of attracting buyers to buy in larger quantities than what I'd gifted them.

Yes giveaway still works but this should not be something the business has to rely on to get customers all the time.

I would give discounts to customers that are loyal but I would never do undeserved giveaways for strangers.
