Remaining together "for the kids" may seem like the proper decision, but there are situations when it might backfire. It is wise for parents to take the family as a whole into consideration before deciding to sacrifice their marital satisfaction for the benefit of their kids. According to studies, an unhealthy marriage can have a negative impact on a person's emotional health. Even when it isn't stated out loud, kids may sense stress and disagreement between their parents since they are sensitive.
In my opinion, though, why not try again if your marriage may still be saved and love can still be rekindled? Considering how much it will impact your children, I think it's only a terrible choice if there's no chance of fixing the marriage and you've suffered too much emotional damage as well.
How about your thoughts on this?
