Do you think that it is in line for an online business to charge extra for express processing?

There are some online stores that would charge the customer extra if the customer wants their orders to be processed and delivered ahead of the schedule of the store.

Do you think it is right for am online store to charge customers who want express processing more than the normal amount?

I don't think there is anything wrong with this. They probably have a fixed date to process orders so the workload would be easier, doing it on another day besides the official day would definitely make things hard for them and also affect their workflow. So charging extra makes sense.

It depends on the online seller. Most online sellers deliver in bulk to a region where orders are plenty, especially for those orders shipped by cargo or plane. They need to deliver in bulk which will be received by courier, business partner of online sellers. They're the ones to deliver the order door to door delivery. I have not heard here charging fees for a rush order and delivery.

It seems right that online stores can add a fee for express delivery. Quick processing often involves additional effort and cost, like adjusting staff priorities or using premium shipping. Customers who want faster service benefit without impacting those using regular delivery. As long as the extra charge is clear upfront, it’s a fair way for stores to offer convenience while covering their additional expenses.
