Do you think video calls are taking the place of traditional calls?

I think that video calls are taking the place of traditional phone calls somehow because many people prefer to see the reactions of those they are talking to, especially family and close friends. They enjoy being able to see each other while having a conversation. What do you think?

This makes conversations with family and friends more emotional and authentic compared to traditional phone calls, which only transmit sound.
