Do you use email lists to boost revenue?

They say "the moneys in the list." but building and monetizing an email list is a whole skill itself. I have started growing one slowly with lead magnets and weekly newsletter, but i am still figuring out how to turn it into real income, like through affiliate promos or product launches. How are you using email to drive revenue?
